"At Le 15, we have always been inspired by fashion," says pastry queen Pooja Dhingra. And quite rightly so, the talented chef has interpreted some of her favourite red carpet looks from the ongoing Cannes Film Festival in the form of stunning desserts. The inspiration is evident in the fine detailing of the cakes, macarons and cupcakes that she has created sitting miles away from the French Riviera in her Mumbai studio.

Being one of the most talked-about glitzy events in the world, Cannes manages to make news with its red carpet looks year after year. So this year when Bollywood beauties Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan walked down in their finest gowns, Pooja decided to do something with her desserts. "We started planning the series a week before while we kept checking daily who is wearing what. I chose the five best looks and just went for it," she quips.

Out of the five looks, we absolutely love the red wine infused dark chocolate macarons inspired by Deepika's one-shoulder Marchesa gown and the champagne and chocolate four-tiered cake by Sonam's dreamy golden gown from Elie Saab. The latter took three days to make as it had to be soaked in champagne and then hand-painted, Pooja points out!

She has also recreated actresses Elle Fanning and Naomie Harris' looks in the form of pistachio cupcakes and rainbow cake respectively.
