Methi Thepla is a popular Gujarati recipe prepared with fenugreek leaves and it tastes delicious when served for breakfast or for a snack. Learn how to make Methi na Thepla at home in just a few steps by Chef Pallavi.

INGREDIENTS

    Methi leaves - finely chopped - 1 cup
    Whole wheat flour- 2 cups
    Gram flour - 3 to 4 tablespoons
    Fresh yogurt - 3 to 4 tbsp
    Water - 1/2 cup
    Ghee - 2 to 3 tablespoons
    Carom seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
    Sesame seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
    Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
    Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
    Green chili - finely chopped - 1 teaspoon
    Ginger - grated - 2 teaspoons
    Salt to taste

DIRECTIONS

In a bowl add in whole wheat flour, besan, turmeric powder, red chili powder, carom seeds, sesame seeds, grated ginger, ghee, salt and mix it all together.
In the same mixture add in chopped methi leaves, curd, water and mix it all together.
Add water according to the consistency to form a dough.
Make small round shaped dough and roll it out in to a chapathi.
Cook it on both the side
Methi thepla is ready to serve.
