Ragi, aka finger millets has many benefits like regulating blood sugar, anti-cancer properties and a high protein content, to name a few. The millet originated in Africa.
Also known as pearl millet, it is popular in the north-western region of India. It helps regulate cholestrol levels and is also recommended to diabetics.
Amaranth is also popularly known as 'ramdana'. It is abundant in proteins and can be included in many recipes to help boost your immunity.
Also referred to as kuttu, the grain gains its popularity during Navratri season. Apart from this it helps regulate blood-pressure and aids in weight loss too.
Kangni or foxtail millet is populary beleived to be beneficial for promotiung cardiac health and maintaining good skin and hair.
