With several restaurants going the organic way, eating out has witnessed a whole new trend of serving gourmet health foods. This week, IFN's editor-at-large, Kalyan Karmakar gets talking to Megha Deokule of i2Cook Organic Foods, Jennifer Mallick of Mumbai's Birdsong Cafe and Arpana Gvalani of Gostana about decoding the healthy menu.
While Jennifer Mallick has been offering organic pizzas and pastas to city diners at her quaint cafe called Birdsong in Bandra, Megha Deokule feels that Bangaloreans are more health conscious than their Mumbai counterparts. Arpana Gvalani of another Bandra eatery, Gostana stresses on the fact that it is not about eating fat-free food, but wholesome meals. Organic food is far more tasty as it comes minus the chemicals, was the unanimous call. We believe healthy can be tasty too!
