In India, drinking tea is like a daily ritual. But, having the same chai every day can get boring. That's why we tried some fancy tea concoctions from Teabox, an online tea shop that delivers tea from estates in Darjeeling, Assam, the Nilgiris as well as Nepal.
We recently got our hands on some of their exquisite teas, and decided to not just sip on them like most people would do, but got a little creative.
The tea experiments got us to try three flavours from Teabox - Hawaiian Sangria, Aam Panna Iced Tea and Peach Iced Tea. Want to know what we did with them? Find out here.
Hawaiian Sangria: What wine lover doesn't like a good Sangria? We went ahead and experimented with the Hawaiian Sangria from Teabox by turning it into a Sangria Tea Mocktail!
What we liked: Nothing to take home.
What we didn't like: If you expect this to taste like a classic Sangria, you might be a little disappointed. Although a little fruity, this doesn't quite hit all the right spots and has a bitter after-taste.
Aam Panna Iced Tea: With the mango season here, the king of fruits in any form is highly appreciated. Given the summery mood, we thought of turning this into an Aam Panna Tea Popsicle.
What we liked: The tangy flavours of raw mango are quite a treat for anyone who loves kairi.
What we didn't like: The overall flavour gets overpowered by ginger.
Peach Iced Tea: Taking a step away from a classic lemon iced tea, a chilled glass of peach iced tea is quite a saviour in this heat. So, instead of just drinking it straight up, we decided to make a fun Peach Berry Tea Sorbet.
What we liked: The tea is very flavourful and actually has dried peaches in it. Love!
What we didn't like: It is not as naturally sweet as one would expect it to be.
Verdict: While the teas from Teabox are fun and fruity, if you are one who prefers their chai strong, this probably ain’t the one for you. But if you want something fun, light and fruity, you should definitely give Teabox a try.
