Part of the benevolent #ShareTheMeal campaign, India Food Network has created a touching film with food stalwarts, Ajay Chopra, Rakhee Vaswani, Pallavi Nigam, Ananya Banerjee and Rushina Munshaw. This campaign, created in partnership with Knorr, is celebrating World Food Day by donating 50,000 meals through Akshaypatra and 1.5MN meals by Knorr Global. Every video share and virtual social post with the hashtag #ShareTheMeal will convert into a real meal for those in need. Every year 1.2 billion posts about #food are shared on social media. But, 815 million people still go to bed hungry. The #ShareTheMeal campaign will brighten world food day for those less fortunate.

In recent years, content revolving around food has become one of the most watched online content categories. India Food Network has been at the forefront of this, as one of India’s largest and most watched food networks. Launched in August 2012 as a YouTube channel, IFN is now present on multiple digital platforms. It was the perfect opportunity for IFN to partner with Knorr to support a worthy cause. The campaign is expected to garner an immense response as each virtual share is turning into a real meal.

Speaking about the campaign, Rajeshree Naik, Co-Founder, PING Network, said, “As one of the leading digital food networks, we have witnessed how humongous food content consumption is. Keeping to our tagline, we have been providing our audience with ‘everything food’. We are so glad to be a part of #ShareTheMeal, as now we will not only serve virtual food but a real meal as well.”
