Someone rightly said that food brings people together. And that’s what exactly happened at the HUL Content Day when Team IFN came together to host fun masterclasses by celebrity chefs at the Knorr kitchen and open a ‘free food’ counter at the Knorr kiosk.
The purpose behind HUL Content Day is to give content creators a chance to share their ideas, and build brand associations. As part of Ping Network, it meant showcasing what we do best and that is celebrating food!
Being India’s largest digital food network, India Food Network on Wednesday, August 31 hosted interactive masterclasses with celebrity chefs, Vicky Ratnani and Ajay Chopra and the amazing team from the Hopping Chef network.
The icing on the cake was the entry of Rocky Singh and Mayur Sharma of the Highway On My Plate fame, who brought the house down with their antics. They even tasted the pasta cooked by the participants and announced the winners of Chef Vicky Ratnani’s masterclass, and got us hooked with their food gyan.
The cheer was evident in the first masterclass, Chef Vicky Ratnani of Vicky’s World, taught everyone to make pasta – from boiling the pasta perfectly to seasoning the sauce – the Knorr Masterclass saw everyone cook with a smile. The energy was infectious as it continued in the second masterclass with Chef Ajay Chopra from Hopping Chef, who whipped up a funky Pav Bhaji Croquette; Mumbai’s favourite street food was taken a notch higher by stuffing the bhaji in the pav and dipping it in a batter and fried.
The final session saw the amazing team of young chefs from Hopping Chef cook some innovative dishes – be it the dumplings, a vegetarian Sloppy Joes and the Mushroom and Pepper Galauti prepared by chefs Pankaj, Akhil and Prashant. A room full of enthusiastic food lovers couldn’t have asked for more because the chefs ensured they learned to perfect each and every dish on the table no matter how technical it was.
An interactive foodie quiz also got people hooked, after all there were some exciting spices and chutneys up for grabs. Prepared by IFN network chefs, the masalas were regional specialties from across the country cooked in home kitchens and were a hit.
In the end when the team was told that it had rocked the show, it made our day! Food reigned at the HUL Content Day, all thanks to the magic of food.
