New in Town: The Re-Opening of Cream Centre
When Ramesh Chona moved from Karachi to Mumbai in 1958, he started an ice cream parlour to help support his family. When the ice cream shop moved to Chowpatty he kept the name but changed the offering to serve vegetarian Indian and world food at the city's most scenic location. Cream Centre has since boasted of queues that last for hours and now in its 60th year, Mumbai's favourite vegetarian restaurant is back with a brand new avatar. The 60-year old icon has a brand new offering along with their old favourites Chhola Bhatura, Nachos and Lime Ice. IFN was there when they reopened their doors and share their new look and old story in #NewinTown.
