Aam Ka Murabba: How to Make Raw Mango Preserve

Sweet and tangy Mango Murabba/Aam Ka Murabba is a wonderful accompaniment to any meal. Cooked in a sugar syrup flavoured with cardamom and saffron, it's a sweet alternative to spicy mango pickles.

INGREDIENTS

    Raw Mango: 2 cups
    Sugar: 1 ½ Cups
    Water: 1 Cup
    Elaichi powder: 1 teaspoon
    Kesar: 1 pinch

DIRECTIONS

Heat a saucepan, add raw mango, sugar and water. Let it boil for a few minutes. Keep on stirring and cooking till you get a sticky consistency.
Add cardamom powder and saffron.
Your murabba is ready to serve.
