Procedure:
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker
- Add the onions
- Saute the onions until brown
- TIP: Add little salt to cook the onions faster
- Add the garlic ginger paste
- Mix well
- Add the tomato puree
- Add the salt
- Add the red chilli powder
- Add the haldi powder (turmeric powder)
- Mix well
- Let the masala cook
- Once the oil has left the side of the masala
- With the help of a hand blender, smoothen the masala to a fine paste
- Add the lobiya
- Shut the cooker and let the lobiya cook for 2 whistles and then on slow for 5-7 mins
- For 1 cup of lobiya use 2 cups of water
- TIP: Press and check if the lobiya is soft and cooked
- Add coriander powder
- Add the jeera powder (cumin seed powder)
- Add the coriander leaves
- Mix well
- TIP: Add ¼ cup of water for a thinner gravy
- Ready to serve
