Want something hot and crispy to go with your fragrant masala chai? Make these tasty rice chaklis in a jiffy and make your evenings more delicious. Of course, you'll need a chakli maker for that chakli shape that we all love.

INGREDIENTS

    1 cup rice flour
    1/2 cup refined flour
    1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
    1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
    1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
    60 grams butter
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    Pinch of asafoetida (hing)
    1/4 cup curd
    1/2 cup water
    Oil for frying

DIRECTIONS

In a bowl, add rice flour, refined flour, turmeric powder, chili powder, cumin seeds, butter, salt, asafoetida, curd and mix it all together.
Add water to the batter to form a dough-like consistency.
In a chakli maker, add the dough and make round chaklis out of them.
Fry the chaklis until golden brown.
Serve or store for later!
