Pamper your sweet tooth with this scrumptious dessert Narali Bhaat by Archana Arte. Its a traditional Maharashtrian dish prepared with fresh coconut, jaggery, and spices mixed in rice. INGREDIENTS

    Grated coconut: 1 cup
    Kesar: 1 teaspoon
    Cardamom: 2
    Jaggery: 1 cup
    Ghee: 2 tablespoons
    Kolam rice: 1 cup
    Cloves: 3
    Coconut milk: 1 cup

DIRECTIONS

Wash and drain rice for 30 min.
Heat ghee, add cloves, cardamom and saute it well.
Add drained rice, saute for 2 min.
Add water and coconut milk to the mixture and let it boil on medium-high.
As starts boiling, reduce the heat to low put the lid and let it cook for about 10 min.
Add jaggery, coconut, and saffron to the mixture and let it cook for few minutes.
Your Narali Bhaat is ready to serve.
