  • In a blender add the magatari seeds first
  • Add the aniseed
  • Add pepper corns
  • Add the poppy seeds
  • Add elaichi powder
  • Add the saffron strands
  • Add rosewater
  • Add the almonds
  • Blend all the ingredients together
  • The powder for thandai will be a bit coarse
  • Tip: The powder can either be poured into milk directly or else soaked in water, blended into a fine paste and then mixed with milk and sugar
