Soak aval/poha for 10-15 minutes.
After that drain, the excess water from aval and lightly mash it with your hands or using a spatula.
Now add all the remaining ingredients except oil (which is for frying). Make sure you don’t add water to it.
Make small round balls out of that mixture and flatten it using your hands (as shown in pic) Now heat oil in a pan.
Deep fry those vadas till it becomes golden brown and crisp.
Serve it hot with chutney.
