How To Make Quick Hummus

- In a blender, place all the ingredients one by one
- Add the chickpeas
- Add the garlic cloves
- Add salt as per taste
- Add the tahini paste
- Blend the ingredients together
- Add some water after you have finished blending
- Blend again
- The hammas should not be too watery, but should form a thick paste
- Check the paste for lumps or unblended chickpeas
- Transfer the paste to a serving dish
- You can try out different variations of the hammas, using parsley, beetroot, roasted red bell peppers or even basil leaves
- With the back of a spoon, spread the paste evenly
- For garnishing, make a well in the middle of the paste
- Push the hammas out to the edges
- Pour the extra virgin olive oil in the well
- Arrange a few of the whole chickpeas around the edges of the well
- Sprinkle some sumac powder over the hammas
- Instead of sumac, you can also use Zatar, paprika powder, red chilli powder, chopped basil, chopped parsley etc.
