Rava Ladoo

Method:

To roast the semolina:

  • Heat 1 tbsp ghee
  • Once the ghee melts, add the semolina
  • TIP: Roast the semolina till the colour turns slightly pink but not red
  • Once the semolina is roasted, transfer it to a bowl
  • Once the roasted semolina is transferred into a bowl, start roasting the grated coconut
  • Add 1 cup sugar and 1 small cup milk
  • Stir till the sugar melts, creating a uniform mixture
  • Let the mixture cool for a few minutes
  • TIP: Do not add the semolina while the coconut mixture is hot, as the semolina will cook
  • Once the mixture has cooled, add the roasted semolina
  • Add cardamom powder according to requirement
  • Add some raisins and finely chopped almonds and pistas
  • Mix everything well together
  • Now start making round balls (ladoos)
  • Garnish with some chopped raisins, almonds and pistas
  • Ready to serve
