Kathal ki Sabji is a popular vegetarian delight prepared with jack fruit and cooked in spicy masala's. Watch and learn this easy to make and pleasing to the palate dish with a great taste!

INGREDIENTS

    Kathal/jackfruit- 250gm
    Onion - chopped - 3 to 4
    Tomatoes - chopped - 3 to 4
    Ginger garlic paste - 2tsp
    Garam masala - 1tsp
    Cumin seeds - 1tsp
    Red chili powder - 1tsp
    Coriander powder- 1tsp
    Turmeric powder - 2tsp
    Oil - 3 to 4 tbsp
    Salt to taste
    Coriander leaves for garnish - 2tbsp
    2 bay leaves
    cloves, cinnamon stickstar anise,,green cardomom,black pepper
    Green chili - chopped - 2 to 3 tsp
    1 tbsp water

DIRECTIONS

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, dry spices and saute until it begins to splutter
Add onions, tomatoes and salt. Stir fry it until brown
Add coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric, ginger garlic paste, green chilli and the garam masala.
Stir to mix well
Add jackfruit and water to the mixture and let it cook for 15 – 20 minutes
Bring to a boil and simmer till the vegetable is cooked through.
Serve hot, garnished with coriander leaves.
