Pressure cook tur dal adding turmeric and salt to taste.
Take a saucepan, add cooked dal, water, ginger, tomato, green chili.
Mix it together and close the lid.
Let it cook for few minutes.
Add salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala and sugar.
Heat ghee in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and hing.
Add the tempering to the dal mixture .
Your sweet & spicy amti is ready to serve.
