Masoor Dal By Archana
Put the masoor dal in the pressure cooker
Add 1 mug of water and cook until 3 whistles are complete
For the Tadka -
Add 2 tbsp ghee
Add 1/2 tbsp mustard seeds
Add 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
Few curry leaves
Add 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
Add 1/4 tbsp asafoetida
Add 1/2 tbsp mix masala
Add 2 spoons grated coconut
Add the finely chopped coriander, tomato, onion and kokam
Add pounded garlic and ginger
Stir and fry the masala well
Add the cooked masoor dal
Add 1/2 cup water and simmer the dal for 5 minutes
Serve hot with a few spoons of ghee on top
