Mini Moong Kachori


  • Drain excess water out of the moong dal after soaking it for about 1 ½ hours
  • Place ginger in a grinder
  • Add the green chillies
  • Add the soaked moong dal
  • Grind all the ingredients together
  • Transfer the paste into a bowl
  • Mix other spices into the dal paste
  • Add ½ tsp ajwain seeds
  • Add ¼ tsp shah jeera
  • Add ¼ tsp red chilli powder
  • Add Salt as per taste
  • Add 1 pinch of soda bicarb
  • Add the coriander leaves
  • Mix all the ingredients well
  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Roll the kachoris and place them on the oil one by one
  • Keep turning the kachoris around until they have turned golden brown in colour
  • The kachoris should be crisp on the outside and soft inside
  • Fry the kachoris on medium flame for them to cook properly
  • Kachoris are ready to serve
