Peas and Cottage Cheese Curry

A popular Punjabi recipe, make your favourite mutter paneer at home.

INGREDIENTS

    2 medium sized onions, finely chopped
    2 medium sized tomatoes, finely chopped
    2 tbsp of coriander leaves, finely chopped
    2-3 slit green chillies
    200g of paneer (cottage cheese)
    200g of green peas
    1 cup of green onion sprigs
    2 tbsp of oil
    2 tbsp of tomato ketchup
    1 ¼ tsp of salt
    1 ¼ tsp of red chilli powder

DIRECTIONS

1. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a deep frying pan. Add finely chopped onions and salt. Mix well until the onions are pale pink in colour.

2. Add finely chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, green peas, water and let this cook.

3. Put the paneer, coriander leaves, green chillies, green onions and mix well.

4. Add tomato ketchup, mix well and serve.
