Organic Steamed Banana Cake


  • Transfer the mashed bananas into a mixing bowl
  • Add the rice paste
  • Add the liquid jaggery
  • Mix well
  • Add the grated coconut
  • Add the cardamom powder
  • Mix well
  • Take a banana leaf
  • TIP: Slightly roast the leaf in an oven or on fire
  • Add 2 tbsp of the mixture on to the banana leaf
  • Roll the leaf and close from all sides
  • Place the rolled leaf into the steamer
  • And repeat the process with the remaining
  • Steam the banana cakes for 15- 20 mins
  • Top it up with ghee/ butter
  • Ready to serve
