A step-by-step guide to cooking the perfect Peshawari chicken at home.

INGREDIENTS

    4 pieces of chicken legs
    Paste of 2 green chillies
    8-10 flakes of garlic
    1 inch piece ginger
    1/2 cup curd
    1/2 tsp jeera powder
    1 tsp coriander powder
    1/2 tsp garam masala powder
    1/2 tsp red chilli powder
    1 tbsp butter
    onion rings
    curry leaves
    lemon juice
    1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    1 pinch red food color
    salt to taste

DIRECTIONS

1. Begin by marinating the chicken with all the spice powders, ginger garlic, chilli paste and curd.

2. Keep aside for a few hours.

3. Put the marinated chicken in a pressure cooker and cook for a while.

4. In a pan, add in butter, add the chicken pieces in the pan and saute.

5. Add in lemon juice, garnish and serve.
