All the fish lovers, you might want to watch this video, as we teach you all, how to cook Pomfret Fry at home. An easy to make sea food, Pomfret Fry is delicious in taste and can immediately lift your mood up

INGREDIENTS

    1 medium sized pomfret
    Oil
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    Paste of green chillies, coriander and garlic
    1 tsp mix masala
    1/2 tbsp lime juice
    Salt to taste

DIRECTIONS

  • TIP: Press the mouth of the fish, if white liquid comes out or if the fish looks a shiny white, it is considered fresh
  • TIP: You can make pieces of the fish or fry it whole
  • On the fish, add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Add 1 tsp mix masala
  • Add 1/2 tbsp green paste
  • Add 1/2 lime juice
  • Add salt to taste
  • Spread the masala all over the fish
  • TIP: Make cuts on the fish, to ensure the masala seeps in
  • TIP: Keep the fish to marinate for 5-10 mins before frying, you can keep it for longer but put the fish in the fridge
  • In a pan, heat enough oil for frying
  • Once the oil is hot, put the fish in it
  • TIP: Flip the fish only twice
  • Fry the fish on a low flame
  • TIP: To avoid the fish from sticking you can roll it in semolina or rice flour
  • Ready to be served
