INGREDIENTS
3 medium sized potatoes thinly sliced and deep fried till golden brown
1 cup water
·½ onion finely chopped
·2 tbsp of whole wheat flour
2 tbsp of oil
Pepper to taste
Salt to taste
·2 stock cubes
1 tbsp of vegetarian Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp of spring onion leaves, chopped
Small cubes of mozzarella cheese for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Heat a wok
Add 1 tbsp of oil
Add the finely chopped onions
Fry the onions on a high flame
Add a pinch of salt
Fry the onions on a low flame until they turn brown
Add 2 tbsp of whole wheat flour
Stir well and roast the flour with the onions until it turns light brown
Add one cup of water
Stir well and break the lumps
TIP: Add ½ cup of additional water if you feel poutine is too thick
Add 1 tbsp of vegetarian worcestershire sauce
Add salt to taste
Add pepper as per taste
Add 1 vegetarian stock cube
Mix well
Let the mixture come to a boil, and turn off the flame
