Chef Sadaf is back with another exciting chaat recipe called Shakarkandi Chaat or Sweet Potato Chaat. A dish that is primarily popular in Delhi, Shakarkand chaat is a delicious blend of sweet potatoes and a mix of spices like chaat masala and cumin powder along with green chilies. Top this recipe off with a sprinkling of lemon juice and enjoy this savoury chaat in the comfort of your own home.

INGREDIENTS

    2 medium sweet potatoes (shakarkand), roasted
    1½ tablespoons Imli chutney (Tamarind Chutney)
    1½ tablespoons green chutney
    1 teaspoon red chili powder
    1 teaspoon chaat masala
    1 teaspoon roasted cumin (jeera) powder
    1-2 green chilies, finely chopped
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
    Pomegranate and Starfruit

DIRECTIONS

– Peel and dice the roasted shakarkand.
– Mix with all the spices and chutney together.
– Garnish with pomegranate and slices of star fruit.
