Enjoy tasty Boondi Raita with Veena's Recipe.

INGREDIENTS

    200 gms yoghurt (Dahi)
    2 tbps Khari Boondi ( available at any Farsan store)
    1 small potato boiled, peeled and cut into very tiny pieces (optional)
    A few coriander leaves washed and finely chopped
    A few mint leaves (Optional)
    1/4 tsp red chilli powder
    1/4 tsp pepper powder
    1/4 tsp Cumin seed powder (Jeera)
    Salt to taste
    One small bowl of warm water

DIRECTIONS

  • Soak 2 tbsp of boondi in warm water for a minute or two
  • Add the chopped potatoes into the blended curd (dahi)
  • Squeeze out the excess water from the boondi and add to the curd (dahi)
  • Add ¼ tsp of salt
  • Add the finely chopped coriander leaves
  • Add finely chopped mint leaves
  • Mix all the ingredients together
  • Transfer the mixture into the serving dish
  • For garnishing: sprinkle out ¼ tsp of red chilli powder on to it
  • Sprinkle ¼ tsp of jeera powder (cumin powder)
  • Sprinkle ¼ tsp of black pepper powder
  • Decorate with a few whole mint leaves on top
  • Serve cold
