1. In a heavy bottom pan, add in soaked dal, ginger, green chillies, turmeric powder, water and boil.
2. Blend with a hand blender and add in the tomato puree, coriander leaves, lemon juice and salt. Mix well.
3. To make the tadka, in a small vessle, add in oil, hing, cumin seeds, curry leaves and once this flutters, add it to the dal.
4. It’s ready to serve.
