Soft & Spongy Oats Rava Idli

Idlis are a breakfast favourite and loved by everyone. Fibre-rich Oats Rava and Flax Seeds combine to make delicious instant Idlis that you can enjoy fresh with sambhar and tomato chutney.

INGREDIENTS

    2 tsp Ghee
    1 tsp Ginger- green chili crushed paste
    1 ½ tbsp Flax seeds, crushed coarsely
    ¼ cup grated/ finely chopped carrots
    ¼ cup grated or finely chopped beans
    1/3 cup Oats
    ½ cup curd
    1/3 cup Rava
    1/3 cup Water
    Salt
    Coriander leaves
    ¾ tsp Fruit salt

DIRECTIONS

In a pan heat ghee.
Add flax seeds, oats, and rava and sauté on a low flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add ginger green chili paste, vegetables, salt and sauté for few seconds.
Switch off the flame.
Once it’s cooled down, add water, coriander leaves, and curds.
Mix well and cover and keep aside for 10 minutes or till mixture has thickened. Meanwhile, place water for boiling.
Grease idli molds with oil/ ghee.
Add fruit salt to the batter, mix gently and pour into greased molds.
Steam for 10 to 12 minutes or till done.
