Dal Tuvar By Archana
- Soak the dal in half cup of water for 15mins.
- Put the soaked dal in the pressure cooker.
- Add turmeric powder and asafoetida powder to the dal.
- To ensure dal is cooked keep it for 3 whistles.
- Open the cooker only once it has cooled.
For the Tadka
- Heat 1 tbsp Ghee and add Cumin seeds, Mustard seeds, Asafoetida and Curry leaves. Stir it until all crackle.
- Add the Dal and Salt to taste. Simmer for 5 mins.
- Serve it hot with steamed Rice or Roti.
