  • Heat oil in a pan
  • Add hing
  • And jeera
  • Once the jeera starts spluttering, add your diced onions
  • Stir well
  • Once the onions turn translucent, add the peas
  • Next add the potatoes
  • Salt
  • Red chilli powder
  • And haldi
  • Stir well, cover and cook on a low flame for 10 mins
  • Tip – Depending on personal taste you can alter the proportion of peas and potatoes
  • Tip – Pour a little water on the lid to steam the vegetables and avoid burning and sticking
  • Check if the vegetables are well cooked
  • Garnish with coriander and green chillies, and stir well
  • Ready to serve
