Home-Made Prawns Pickle


  • Heat oil in a shallow pan
  • Stir fry 1 bowl marinated prawns till they are semi-cooked
  • Tip: The prawns are semi-cooked when they start turning circular
  • Heat a deep pan for the masala
  • Tip: For 1 bowl masala, use half bowl oil
  • Add 1/4 tbsp hing (asafoetida)
  • Add 1 bowl pickle masala
  • Mix well and let it boil
  • Turn off the flame and add semi-cooked prawns
  • Add salt to taste. Keep in mind, the pickle masala already has salt
  • Put the ingredients on flame
  • Watch for just one boil and turn the flame off
  • Wait for the prawns to cool and add the juice of 1 lemon
  • Mix well
  • Ready to serve
