Method
- To make the filling: Roast 1 cup sesame seeds, 1 cup grated dry coconut and little gram flour
- To that add 1 tbsp roasted khuskhus, keep mixture aside to cool
- Once it cools, blend the mixture in a mixer
- According to the quantity of mixture made, use twice the amount of grated jaggery
- Add melted jaggery to the mixture and keep aside
- TIP: Make this mixture 1 day prior
- For the dough: Use all purpose flour according to requirement
- To the flour, add 2 tbsp oil
- Add a pinch of salt
- Knead to form soft dough
- TIP: Keep the dough side for 1-2 hrs before use
- Make a ball of the filling made
- TIP: Use ghee to bind the filling
- In the all purpose dough, wrap the filling made
- Sprinkle little all purpose flour on the dough
- Roll the dough into chapati
- TIP: The flatbread should be slightly thick
- Put the flatbread on the hot griddle
- Add few tsp of ghee on the sides of the flatbread
- Cook the flatbread till it turns golden brown on both sides
- Ready to serve
