  • TIP: Press the mouth of the fish, if white liquid comes out or if the fish looks a shiny white, it is considered fresh
  • TIP: You can make pieces of the fish or fry it whole
  • On the fish, add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Add 1 tsp mix masala
  • Add 1/2 tbsp green paste
  • Add 1/2 lime juice
  • Add salt to taste
  • Spread the masala all over the fish
  • TIP: Make cuts on the fish, to ensure the masala seeps in
  • TIP: Keep the fish to marinate for 5-10 mins before frying, you can keep it for longer but put the fish in the fridge
  • In a pan, heat enough oil for frying
  • Once the oil is hot, put the fish in it
  • TIP: Flip the fish only twice
  • Fry the fish on a low flame
  • TIP: To avoid the fish from sticking you can roll it in semolina or rice flour
  • Ready to be served
