Recipe: A Garlicky Potato Curry From Toral's Pakhshala

Lasaniya Batata is garlic flavoured potato curry that every hot and spicy food lover must try.

Method:

For the paste:

In a mixer jar, mix the tomato, garlic, cumin, coriander powder, turmeric, whole red chilies, ginger, salt and water, to form a paste.

For the Subzi:

1. Heat some oil into a frying pan. Add the chopped onion and red chili powder, and stir for 2-3 minutes.

2. Now pour the paste into the pan and cook for 7-8 minutes.

3. Then add the potatoes and half a cup of water, and let it cook for 5-6 minutes.

Serve hot with Paratha or Rotli/Chapati.
