Tasty Sindhi Dal Makhni

Method of Sindhi Dal Makhni -

  • Wash and soak dal in water for 15-20 minutes
  • Transfer the dal to a thick bottomed pan and

    • add green chillies,
    • ginger,
    • turmeric powder and
    • ½ cup of water and
    • cook on a medium flame for 10-15 minutes

  • When the dal is soft and done, blend/mix dal into a smooth puree like consistency with a wooden blender/beater
  • Add salt as per taste
  • Sprinkle all the dry spices (masalas) one by one until the dal is evenly covered with all the masalas
  • Now heat ghee/ butter in a fodni kadai and pour it over the dry spices (masalas)
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve
