Now In Mumbai: Crab A Meal At Sri Lanka's Renowned Restaurant

For all those who don't know, Ministry of Crab is a touted restaurant for crab lovers and here, quality and quantity pretty much go hand in hand. All the way from Colombo, this restaurant comes to Aamchi Mumbai and I'm still on their reservation list. My anticipation has soared in bounds of thousands for the day to come and gauging from the hype, I want to tell you why I'm so excited to go there.

First of all, it's a place where you can get all messy without bothering about the elegant decor and urbane ambience. From what I figure, if you're a vegetarian, you'll be a plus one to someone who loves crabs or prawns for that matter.

Secondly, I'm so enchanted by their crab sizes that vary from half a kg to 2kgs which is also profoundly called Crabzilla! There are 6 types of prawn dishes too.

And, obviously, I want to tick a box on my checklist for having dined at number 25 on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list.

Staying true to my biasness for vegetarian dishes, I'm going to give Avocado & Tomato Salad and Wok-tossed greens a shot as my friends have raved about it.

So, from what I hear, I'm in for an authentic experience because Chef Darshan Munidasa doesn't believe in localising the menu to attract crowds. He wishes to stick to original flavours and imports spices from Sri Lanka to keep the original taste intact.

I'll be back when I've devoured on this experience, so watch out for my review of this restaurant. I'm hoping the crab lives up to my expectations. Fingers crossed.
